Company debt is a term to explain an amount of money or liability owing by a company to the owner of a business, directors, suppliers, lenders, employees and the Australian Tax Office (“ATO”). Similar terms include Company Liabilities, Company Creditors.
Company debt arises when a business purchases goods or services on credit, or incurs liabilities to owners of the business, directors, suppliers, lenders, employees or the ATO.
Good management requires a business to manage its cash flow, to allow payment of company debt when due and payable.
